Magic is Might!

After getting the book I ate my breakfast and went back in my room and started reading the book I waited for so long.

*draws out wand from my robe*

“Salvio Hexia … Protego Totalum . . .Repello Muggletum . . . Muffliato . . . Lumos Maxima,” I whispered in order for people not to disturb me while I was reading the book.

When I read the first three chapters, I felt sadness, because this stupenduos series that started when I was still in elementary really ended the day I got the book. But there are some parts that lifted my sadness like the chapter about the seven potters. But still overall the emotion of the book was sad and kind of action-packed. And I never thought nor imagined that the Dursleys had spared some ‘love’ for Harry. Dumbledore’s past was far from what he had known for by the Wizarding Community.

Almost all of the important persons in Harry’s life died. Hedwig, Dobby, Tonks, Mad-Eye and Lupin were one of those characters who were killed. There were some parts though that I did not understand that’s why sometime this year I will be reading it again after my school works.

For the Epilogue, well it was well done but the ending was somewhat weak to me.

Some lines from the book:

  1. Part of Lord Voldemort lives inside Harry.
  2. “That Potter lives is due to my error not to his triumph.” – Lord Voldemort, Chapter One, The Dark Lord Ascending
  3. Harry Felt a corrosive hatred toward Ron: Something had broken between them. Chapter Fifteen, The Goblin’s Revenge
  4. Where your treasure is, there will you heart be also. Found on Kendra and Ariana Dumbledore’s Grave
  5. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Found on James and Lily Potter’s Grave
  6. “Right then, fake Potters line up over here, please,” said Moody. Ron, Hermione, Fred, George and Fleur lined up. Chapter Four, The Seven Potters.
  7. Harry could not quite comprehend it. Mad-Eye dead; it could not be . . . Mad-Eye, so tough, so brave, consummate survivor. Chapter Five, Fallen Warrior
  8. The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen year. All was well. Epilogue, Nine Years Later, Page 759

These are some of the lines from the book that I quoted for group messaging purposes? Haha. Spoilers!

Exactly 8:41AM I finish reading while I was waiting for my breakfast.

I wonder if there is a Philippine version of Deathly Hallow. Oh, my rating for the book overall is 8/10.

Alohomora!

After months of waiting, after I had read the sixth book of Harry Potter I managed to get a reservation ticket for the last installment of the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Before sleeping, I inculcated to my mind that I shall wake up early so that I can go and get my copy of the book.

The bookstore which I had my reservation opened at 9:00 AM and I arrived there exactly 9:07 AM. There was a queue but the line for claiming the books was not that long. I presented my receipt, paid an amount of 1305 Philippine peso. Well I got a 10% discount because of the reservation. The original price is 1450 Philippine peso. This happened yesterday July 21, 2007.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Movie

Together with my cousins, Paola and Karla, we went to the movie house last July 14, 2007 to watch the most awaited movie Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. As a reader, I went to watch the movie not just to enjoy but to compare the storyline of the book and the movie.

The effects of the movie were stupendous. Different colors were flying in the air, witches and wizards using brooms to fly and spell cast causing streams of colors to pop out from their wands. Effects to me will be rated as nine out of ten.

The casting was a bit incomplete so if I were to rate the casting, seven out of ten.

The storyline was a bit disappointing because there were some minor interesting parts that they omitted. I didn’t see Sturgis Podmore, Hermione and Ron as prefects and other scenes. There were also addition of scenes that made the movie interesting but still it’s disappointing for me as a reader of the book. Six out of ten.

But as a whole I like the movie though Daniel was not a great kisser. Haha! The movie, to me, is eight out of ten.

Dreams Do Come True

*giggles*
I woke up 5am because of my alarm, i turned it off and went back to sleep. I never expected that i will be entering the dream world that time. The images were vivid. It was Genesis I saw him together with his blockmates on a resort. I approached them and suddenly he grabbed (?) one of his companions and introduced her to me. Wah! It was my crush Mary. And then after shooking our hands I woke up! Then, after the freshmen orientation of my school we went to McDo to eat lunch and their I again met Genesis together with his friends and he introduced us, Adianne and I, to Mary. Well that made my day. Because of those happenings I forgot that it was my friend's, Adianne, birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADIANNE!!!!

If I would be a drug...

Your Personality Is Like Alcohol

You're the life of the party, a total flirt, and probably a pretty big jokester.
Sometimes your behavior gets you in trouble, but you still remain socially acceptable.
You're a pretty bad driver, and you're dancing could also use a little work!
Series of Unfortunate Chicosci-ness
After classes, my cousin texted me if I want to come with them and watch the concert of Chicosci at Music One in Greenbelt. Since its free and its free-day(friday) I accepted her invitation. Kakang, Ate Mona, Kuya Kit and I met at Gateway and used the MRT to reach the destination.
The concert was 5pm - 7pm and we came there late 6pm. When we arrived at the concert place what we saw was the last part of the show, autograph signing.
Well although we hadn't watch the concert, I had fun gala-in(?) with the three UPians. haha! And oh! We got a free cd of Chicosci.
When we went home we were waiting for the MRT, my cousin asked me if I could show them the pictures that I took. Suddenly we heard a voice.
MRT SPEAKER: Sa mga pasahero sa North Bound, bawal pong kumuha ng picture habang nasa station.
Well I wasn't sure if he was referring to us. Haha!!
